Abstract Aim Analysis of serum IgG & IgM in patients with chronic pulpitis, periapical lesions and patient without any lesion as control Materials and Method Serum level of IgG and IgM in 40 patients with chronic pulpitis and periapical lesions were analysed by automated Nephelometry method. They were divided in groups like 10 patients with periapical cyst, 10 patients with periapical granuloma, 10 patients with chronic pulpitis and 10 patients as control Results Serum level of IgG and IgM was increased in patients with chronic pulpitis and priapical granuloma as compared to control. Conclusion Study design provide a useful model for investigating interaction between a chronic local stomatological inflammation and the immunological and inflammatory homeostasis of the host. Top Keywords Immunoglobulins IgG and IgM, chronic pulpitis, periapical granuloma, periapical cyst. Top |
