Setting This prospective observational study was conducted in the department of general medicine, KIMS, HUBLI. Participants 60 subjects. Sampling convenient sampling. Results The study has included 60 cases of clinically confirmed ricketisial disease, who were presented to a tertiary care teaching hospital between November, 2015 to January, 2017. The key findings of the study were only 40% and 20% respectively in Weil felix test, 21 (35%) had 80 titre, the number of cases with titre 160, 320 and 640 were 19 (31.67%), 13 (21.67%) and 7 (11.67%) respectively Conclusion The study has highlighted the need to have a high index of suspicion to enhance the diagnosis of ricketsial diseases and also the strong association between weil felix titre and liver and renal dysfunction.
