But most of them leave behind by many side effects and their management is an uphill task. Therefore the age old remedies of using herbs has come into light. Many herbs are being used in medicine for treating various diseases; among those aloe vera a complex plant containing biologically active substances has many properties enhancing the immune system and to combat many dental problems. Aloe Vera, a perennial succulent is known to be the healing plant or the silent healer. This review focuses on Aloe Vera and its therapeutic uses in dentistry.
