Online published on 15 March, 2016. Abstract Biosafety of commonly used insecticides was evaluated on Trichogramma chilonis Ishii. Immature and adult stages were exposed at the recommended field dosages. Chlorantraniliprole, indoxacarb and pyridalyl were found harmless to adults (IOBC-class-1, <30% mortality). Emamectin benzoate, profenofos, cypermethrin, lambdacyhalothrin, imidacloprid, thiamethoxam, propargite and abamectin were found harmful (IOBC class-4, >99% mortality). Against immature stages (inside the host eggs) insecticides though showed toxicity, none was found harmful.
