Abstract The current study highlights the morphometry of Oxyopidae (Lynx spiders) viz., Oxyopes lineatipes, Oxyopes javanus, Oxyopes shweta, Oxyopes sunandae and Peucelia viridana, collected from different geographical locations of Karnataka. The morphometry of prosoma, opisthosoma, chelicerae, palp, spinnerets and legs were carried out. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was performed for eight variables using a correlation matrix and varimax rotation, single principal components with eigen values (11.84) were extracted. Principal Component Analysis was found to have variation among the variables. The first Principal component accounts for 99% of the total variance followed by the second PCA.
