Abstract Field experiment was laid out at the College of Horticulture, Rajendranagar to validate eight IPM Modules against major pests of okra Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench during kharif 2014. IPM Modules studies include M1-Low Cost Technology, M2-Bio Intensive Module-I, M3-Bio Intensive Module-II, M4-Dr. YSRHU Recommended Module, M5-NCIPM, Delhi Recommended module, M6-Biointensive module+ Insecticide Module, M7-Insecticide Module, and M8-untreated control, in three replications. Data on population of thrips, leafhoppers, mites, whiteflies and coccinellids were recorded at weekly intervals. Insecticide module, NCIPM recommended module and Biointensive module+ Insecticide module were found to be the best. The maximum number of coccinellids per leaf was recorded in NCIPM recommended module. Top Keywords Abelmoschus esculentus, IPM modules, validation, economics. Top |
