Abstract Present study explores the ectoparasitiods of rice plant hoppers viz., Nilaparvata lugens (Stål), Sogatella furcifera (Horváth) and Sogatella vibix (Haupt). It was observed that these are parasitized by dryinid wasps, and when analysed for mtCO1, five sequences of parasitoids were inferred with 113 nucleotide variations, which accounted for 17% variation.
