Abstract Holotype of the hunting wasp Crabro flavoniger Dutt, 1921 which was mentioned as deposited at the British Museum of Natural History, London (BMNH) is in the National Pusa Collection (NPC), IARI, New Delhi, India. This species is redescribed herein with additional diagnostics and illustrations. The male of this is still unknown.
