Abstract This study on the species of the genus Hishimonus Ishihara viz., Hishimonus aberrans Knight (Himachal Pradesh), H. acuminatus Knight (Uttarkhand), H. concavus Knight (Nagaland), H. longisetosus Viraktamath and Murthy (Kerala, Nagaland), H. neilsoni Knight (Maharashtra), H. pallidus Dai, Fletcher and Zhang (Haryana and Uttarkhand) and H. phycitis (Distant) (Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand), reveals them as new distribution records. All these species are redescribed and illustrated herein.
