Study of the Effect of Information Technology on Time Management and Cost of the Project: Case Study of Tehran Roads and Urban Development

Abstract

Since the advent of modern information technology, it plays a basic role in the international economy due to its effect on the most business aspects. Information technology is a cultural system before being a hardware system and a set of patterns. So, it can be called culture of information production. The main purpose of the present research is to study the effect of information technology on the time and cost management related to the Tehran urban development projects. The statistical community of this study is considered as managers who are executive in the organization projects. The total number of the statistical community is 100 people that 80 individuals were selected as samples based on Morgan table. The questionnaires which validity approved by experts are used to collect data and reliability reported as0.90. The obtained results showed that the new technologies of information has a positive effect on the cost of projects in the Department of Urban Development, Tehran as well as new technology information on time management as well as time management effects.
