Abstract

The concept of a type-2 fuzzy set was introduced by Zadeh as an extension of an ordinary fuzzy set. Type-2 fuzzy sets have grades of membership that are themselves fuzzy. Hence the membership function of a type-2 fuzzy set is three dimensional, and it is the new third dimension that provides new design degrees of freedom for handling uncertainties. Also fuzzy matrices play an important role in scientific developments. In this paper, the concept of bidiagonal type-2 triangular fuzzy matrices is proposed. Also some properties of bidiagonal type-2 triangular fuzzy matrices are presented.
