Abstract

The study includes the recording of the spectrum of absorbance and transmittance for blend solutions for polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) with Rhodamine and calculating the a absorption coefficient and other optical constants. The samples have been prepared in different weight concentrations (0, 2, 4, 6 wt.%) (PVA-RB) the values of absorbence, absorption coefficient and refractive Index values for pure and doped polymer are increasing with increasing of the concentration ratio of RB. The results show that decreasing in transmittance with concentration the values of reflectance are increases with increasing concentrator before and after the doping, the results showed decreasing energy gap with increasing ratio of doping.
