Online published on 5 May, 2016. Abstract The nutritive value of Cumbu napier hybrid CO4 (CN CO4) grass was studied in goats. CN CO4 grass hay containing 11.75% CP, 29.63% CF, 3.05% EE, 41.10% NFE and 14.47% TA was fed to growing kids at 60% inclusion level in a complete ration for 180 days. The DMI, ADG, feed efficiency observed in kids were found to be 3.99% of BW, 57.23 g and 13.83 respectively. The DCP and TDN contents of the complete ration were 9.31 and 58.12 percent respectively. Cumbu napier hybrid CO4 grass hay as a sole roughage component in complete ration supported the maintenance and growth requirements of goats.
