The use of dental lasers to treat periodontal diseases is still debatable among doctors despite the vast number of articles to the differing. In order to assess the scientific condition around the laser use in treating soft tissue in oral diseases, root surface detoxification, and chronic periodontitis, this review article aims to examine the peer-reviewed academic literature. The articles were selected during an extensive computer-based search using keywords for search engines like google scholar, pubmed, EBSCO, scopus, web of science, etc. The approach based on evidence for laser use for the treatment of periodontal diseases is instantly needed, according to this evaluation of the literature. There is inadequate evidence to provision any particular laser wavelength’s superiority over conventional therapeutic techniques. Lastly, there is some research that advocates using lasers alongside SRP may have some extra benefits. Top Keywords Detoxification effects, Laser, Periimplantitis, Pocket therapy, Root debridement.
