A Qualitative Comparison of Reference Videos in Android based Mobile Devices Das Prodipto Department of Computer Science, Assam University, Silchar, Assam, India Abstract The quality of the video in various devices is a major issue. The quality of the video depends heavily on the type of content. High video quality is required for fast moving contents like sports, movies, etc. compared to slow moving ones like news broadcasts, TV reporting etc. The aim of the paper is to study the video quality of reference videos in Android device. The present work is mainly focused on evaluating the video quality. Three reference videos with different content types are considered. Double Stimulus Impairment Scale (DSIS), Frame Rate (FR) and the Mean Opinion Score (MOS) are used to formulate the video quality relation and MPEG4 is used as the video codec. The present work and study helps to assess the quality of any video in devices like Tablets, Palmtops, Notebooks or other Mobile devices.
