Traditional contraceptive techniques that have been used for several years are associated with disadvantages and side effects. There is urgent need of improvements in prevailing birth control methods available to us. Various vaginal contraceptive agents marketed today are chemical or detergent based that are accompanied by numerous negative effects on vaginal flora and epithelium.
