Abstract The present paper is an attempt to understand the various dynamics of bancassurance in India from the operational point of view. Through this paper the authors tried decode the issues related to bancassurance. The paper is based on secondary data and the objective is to undertake in depth analysis of emergence of bancassurance in India with special reference to eastern part of the country.
