Deaths due to aluminium phosphide poisoning Aggarwal N. K., Reader, Dr. Agarwal B.B.L., Principal & Head Deptt. of Forensic Medicine, V.C.M.S. & G.T.B. Hospital, Dilshad Garden, Delhi-110095, India. Abstract Aluminium phosphide is one of the commonest poisons used for suicides in northern parts of India. A study has been conducted on the cases of aluminium phosphide poisoning brought for autopsy at the mortuary of U.C.M.S. & G.T.B. Hospital, Delhi. It was observed that males are commonly involved than females. Incidence is more common during 3rd decade of life and is rarely used for homicidal purposes.
