Online published on 26 December, 2016. Abstract Dipping of tuberose bulbs in carbosulfan 25EC solution of 0.05–0.15% a.i. for 30 min and 1 h resulted in reduction of Aphelenchoides besseyi population (57–152 in treated vs 176 in untreated bulbs) 70 days after planting. Observation on 450 day after planting showed that nematode population in bulb increased in all the treatments. Minimum population was found in bulbs dipped in carbosulfan 25 EC @ 0.15% a.i. for 30 min. Bulb treatment with carbosulfan 25 EC proved effective for reduction of nematode population in the field. Pre-soaking of bulbs in plain water for overnight followed by dipping of bulbs in carbosulfan 25EC @ 0.05% a.i. for 30 min to 1 hr could be an effective approach for the control of foliar nematode in tuberose and improvement in flower yield.
