Rice straw ash, rice husk ash and banana pseudostem ash each at 10, 20 and 30g per plant were evaluated against root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita in cucumber. The results revealed that all the ashes at three different doses significantly increased the plant growth parameters of cucumber and reduced root knot nematode infestation. However, application of rice husk ash @ 30 g/plant was found to be the most effective than other treatments in increasing plant growth parameters, yield of cucumber and suppressing the nematode multiplication.
