Individual and combined effects of aerobics and silambam practices on cardio respiratory endurance of college women students Dr. Kalaiarasi R. Abstract The purpose of the present experimental study was to find out the individual and combined effects of aerobics and silambam practices on cardio respiratory endurance of college women students. To achieve the purpose of the study forty college women students were selected from Arulmigu Palaniandavar Arts College for Women, Palani, Dindigul (DT) TamilNadu. Their age was between 18–21 years. The selected subjects were divided into four equal groups. The experimental group 1, 2 and 3 three were underwent aerobics practice, silambam practice and combined practice of aerobics and silambam respectively for the period of six weeks. Group-4 served as a control group. The cardio respiratory endurance was selected as dependent variable; it was tested by Cooper's 12 minutes run/walk test. It was tested before and after the scheduled trainings. The collected data was analyzed with analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) and Scheffe's Post hoc test.
