Abstract The purpose of the study was to determine the adjustment abilities of athletes. The present study is confined to conduct only 60 male subjects age group 17-22 of Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar, Uttarakhand state who have participated in athletics championships at different levels i.e. Inter-collegiate and State. Thirty players of inter college and thirty of state level subjects were selected for this study. The “Adjustment Inventory Scale” was constructed by A.K.P. Sinha and R.P. Singh with 60 items equally distributed on Emotional, Social, and educational adjustments used for this study. Descriptive statistics and t-test were applied for analysing the data. The level of significance was set at 0.05 levels. The result indicated that there was a significant difference found between intercollegiate and state level track & field players in relation to adjustment.
