Online published on 21 February, 2019. Abstract Eczema is a chronic non-infectious disease that affects about 15% of children while only 2% of adults have infected. The origin of eczema is still unknown, however there are several factors that accompanied atopic dermatitis including some bacterial and fungal infections besides genetic predisposition and other environmental factors. Studies showed that 35% of persons with S. aureus infections have eczema. Other researchers showed that Malassezia yeast infection can lead to crusty eczema in adults. Treatments of eczema depend largely on determining the cause of it. however, some traditional herbs have proved its activity to calm the symptoms of atopic dermatitis. UVA-1 in combination with psoraline have been used to treat eczema effectively. Top Keywords Eczema, Microbiological, Treatments. Top | |
