Abstract This work is aimed to find out the effect of the platelet and hematocrit content on the Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever degree and its impact on the economic loss. This was an analytic observation research with the cross sectional approach. The research was conducted in Daya Regional General Hospital. Data were collected using the purposive sampling technique. The data collected through the questionnaire and interview with the patients and their families. This work used the pathway analysis. The research result indicated that there is effect of the platelet amount on the dengue fever degree (p=0.000) with the variable coefficiency of the negative value (0.424). Also, there is no effect of the hematocrit amount on the dengue fever degree (p=0.649) with the variable coefficiency of the negative value (0.045). In addition, the result showed that there is effect of the dengue fever on the direct cost (p=0.000) with the variable coefficiency of the positive value (0.374). Finally, there was also effect of the dengue fever degree on the indirect cost (p=0.118) with the variable coefficiency of the positive value (0.280).
