Online published on 4 June, 2019. Abstract This study investigates the effect of radiation therapy on the general health of cancer patients. This study was carried out through the knowledge and follow-up of the health status of a group of cancer patients to different hospitals in some governorates of Iraq. After monitoring the health of patients, it was found that most of them will suffer from hair loss, some suffer from vomiting and nausea, others suffer from diarrhea, some suffer from internal bowel damage as well as damage to the central nervous system as well as the effect of radiation in the damage of DNA of the cells of the human body.
