Contraceptive Use among Babylon Teenage Mothers

Abstract

Our study aims to identify the prevalence of contraceptive use among teenage mothers in Babylon City. Gaps in conceptive wellbeing/family planning and sexual social insurance represent almost one-fifth of the overall weight of sickness and sudden death, and 33% of the illness and death among ladies of reproductive age. Extensive number of pregnancies and short birth interval reason the wellbeing danger to rise. Descriptive study design was conducted in this study to know the use of contraceptive methods among teenage mothers in Babylon city. The questionnaire used as a tool of data collection. The current study conducted at a period of one month. The study conducted on a sample of 50 women who was married at the age of 12–19 years, and become mother's age at first birth at age under 19 years. The statistical analysis conducted by SPSS version. the finding of the study show that the majority of study sample from the age group 15–17 years, the majority of study sample with spousal different age of 10 years approximately. The high percent of sample 54% have primary level of education and 52% of study sample from Urban area. The majority of study sample 54% doesn't use any contraceptive method. The most frequent cause of nonuse was my husband does not agree in percent of 50%. The majority of study sample 36% reported that the source of family planning/contraception services is Pharmacy.
