This study was done to evaluate the endometrial causes of AUB and to determine the specific pathology in different age groups. Aims To study the histopathology of endometrial biopsies in patients presenting with AUB and its correlations with age, parity and bleeding pattern. results The most common age group presenting with AUB was 41–45 yrs(36%) and the commonest pathology in this age group was simple hyperplasia. The commonest bleeding pattern was heavy menstrual bleeding and highest incidence was seen in multiparous women(74%). Conclusion Endometrial biopsy should be recommended during the work up of patients presenting with AUB to exclude organic pathology of endometrium.
