Abstract Changes in the social, political and economic fabric of society have influenced and continue to influence both the nature of employment and its relationship outside of work. Changing employment pattern changes the demographic structure of the workforce, which has resulted in a different reality in the 21st century. Instead of trying to manage the copious amounts of leisure time, many workers are instead trying to juggle numerous responsibilities which are increased and intensified demands of work. The traditional assumption that employees should be willing and able to make work is the top priority in life, which is no longer tenable. Under this context, the notion of ‘work-life balance’ has come to the fore in policy debates. This study is used to find the Work-life balance among IT managers employed in top IT Companies, Chennai.
