An empirical analysis of employees job satisfaction and intention to quit Ramya K.1, Subramanian S.2 1Research Scholar Department of Commerce(Ca), Vels University, Pallavaram, Chennai 2HOD & Research Supervisor, Department of Commerce(Ca), Vels University, Pallavaram, Chennai Online published on 25 September, 2018. Abstract The main aim of this study is to find out the factors determining job satisfaction and intention to quit of the employees working in private colleges. The researcher used regression analysis to find the result. The lecturers’ demographic data, their job-related satisfaction and turnover intentions were recorded through a self-administered questionnaire. The impact of demographic characteristics on job satisfaction and intention to quit was also examined. The Job satisfaction and intention to quit are negatively correlated. The results show that the employees are highly satisfied with the factor of status and working time and they are less satisfied with the factor of salary and load of work.
