Abstract

Mamuju is one of the districts in West Sulawesi province, there were 85 cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF)where 1 person died in 2013 and as many as 48 people survived of DHF in 2014 (Public Health Office of Mamuju District, 2015). The high density of the vector-borne of this communicable disease was expected to be causative factorof incidence of DHF, for it is to reduce the number of vector populations by preventive and controlling efforts. In some districts in West Sulawesi, Tembelekan leaves(Lantana camaraLinn) grow as wilding which is neither noticed nor useful. The investigation of flavonoid and verbaskosid of Lantana Leavescamara Linn, obtained chemical contents in the leaves that were extracted by using 95% ethanol. Flavonoids chemical content in Lantana leaves camara Linn serves as a strong inhibitor of the respiratory system of adult insects. This is called experiments research to test the TembelekanLeaves Extract (Lantana Camara Linn) which will be exposedto the Aedesaegyptimosquitoes. This research was conducted at the IntegratedLaboratory of Health Polytechnic of Ministry of health at Kalukku Jalan Poros Mamuju in KM.16 Tadui West Sulawesi. Research was conducted in May-November 2017. The object of this research were the Aedesaegyptimosquitoes. Tahapan activities include the manufacture of the extracts from tembelekan (Lantara Camara L), a preliminary test phase and test phase of the study. Data collected in the form of primary data obtained from the calculation of the number of Aedesaegypti mosquito mortality during the study. When the study was conducted in May-November 2017. The object of this study is the adult mosquito Aedesaegypti. The procedures of the activity including the manufacture of the tembelekanleaves Extract (LantaraCamara L), a preliminary test phase and research test phase. Data collected as primary data which is obtained from the calculation of the number of eliminated Aedesaegypti mosquitoes during the study.
