Online published on 18 January, 2019. Abstract Aims To find out the prevalence and various risk factors for falls among older adults (60–75 years). Objective To sensitize O.T intervention program among older adults by providing health education booklet. Material and Method It is a cross-sectional community based study in which 100 people (aged 60–75 years) were interviewed, out of 100, 54 were women and 46 were men.100 people, fulfilling the inclusion criteria and they were asked to given a written consent for the participation in the study. General evaluation of older adults was carried out. They were assessed by face to face interview using Johns Hopkins fall risk assessment tool (JHFRAT).Scale was in English so each question was explained by the researcher in Hindi. Result The finding of present study shows that in total 100 subjects of older adults (male and female both) 60–75 years, the prevalence of fall is 27.69%, and the risk of fall is found (56/100) 56% older people has moderate fall risk, (12/100) 12% has high fall risk and (32/100) 32% has low fall risk. Conclusion This study concluded that the history of falls, poor vision, use of multiple medications, chronic disease, use of walking aids, vertigo and balance problems were associated with falls among the older adults. So there is a need to develop occupational therapy health education awareness program to prevent these problems and risk of falls.
