Relationship between Parenting Style and Emotional Intelligence with Academic Achievement of High School Girl Students in Anar City Abadi Abolfazl Akbari Mohammad Department of Psychology, Anar Branch, Islamic Azad University, Anar, Iran Online published on 22 October, 2013. Abstract The present study examined the relationship between parenting style and emotional intelligence by academic achievement of high school girl students in Anar city. Regarded sample includes 248 high school girl students in 2011–2012. The sample was selected through multistage cluster sampling. Using the test, emotional intelligence of Forum Cyberia in five dimensions (self-awareness, self control, spontaneous, social awareness, social skills), parenting style questionnaire Schafer in four dimensions (landscape style, authoritarian, permissive Caro authority) were assessed. The first semester of the academic achievement scores of students were considered. Data was analysed using statistical methods; simultaneous regression analysis, multivariate correlation and independent t. Results showed that there is a meaningful relation between parenting style and academic achievement of high school girl students in this study.
