Abstract

Internet users are increasing exponentially since the last decade which drastically increases the internet traffic. This gives us a challenge to manage the requests from the client on the web server. In the distributed environment the number of client requests web services are increasing, the quality of service in terms of response time is decreasing. Distributing the load of a single Web Server into a cluster of distributed Web Servers is one solution for same problem. Load balancing is an effective way to handle the load of a single Web Server to multiple Web Servers. In this paper we are discussing some of the load balancing techniques and their associated problems further we propose a model of fault-tolerant based load balancing in distributed web environment.
