Analysis & estimation of em energy coupling to the underground structures using computational method Naik Prasad*, Vala Kiritkumar Research & Development Establishment (Engineers), D.R.D.O., Pune, Maharashtra, India *Corresponding author
Online published on 24 May, 2018. Abstract In case of the large underground structures the Electro-Magnetic Compatibility, necessarily susceptibility, with respect to the external electromagnetic sources is very important as the vital equipment used inside these structures are affected due to external sources. Further, the selection of structure material, its shape and size is not governed as per EMC requirements. In this paper the shielding effectiveness of soil, structure and enclosure is computed with respect to the external plane wave source. The levels of E-field & M-field penetration are also computed for various soil conditions. The results have been validated post realization.
