Online published on 4 December, 2023. Abstract Given the significance of hematological analysis in ex-situ conservation programs, the present study was conducted to document the baseline reference intervals of some major hematological parameters in clinically healthy Himalayan tahr (Hemitragusjemlahicus), goral (Naemorhedus goral), blue sheep (Pseudoisnayaur), snow leopards (Panthera uncia), and Himalayan wolves (Canis lupus) housed at Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, a high-altitude zoo located at Darjeeling. In the xcurrent analysis, certain patterns and statistically significant gender disparities were noted. The authors expect that these physiological data will be useful for diagnosing conditions and overseeing medical interventions, assisting zoo management in keeping these animals in captivity by monitoring disease and doing comparisons with their wild counterparts.
