Abstract

Field experiment was conducted to study the effect of chemical methods of weed control in wheat S 308. The experiment was conducted in randomized block design with four replications under Coordinated Research Project on Dryland Agriculture at the research farm of Banaras Hindu University. It was observed that the maximum grain yield was produced from the plot treated with 2, 4-D amine salt and it was as good as hand weeded plot. The degree of weed infestation had a greater influence on total water use and water use efficiency.
