Abstract

A fifty six years old female Asian elephant suffering from vision loss for the past three years was examined. Clinical examination revealed a healthy well maintained elephant with bilateral ocular and nasal discharge. Detailed ophthalmic examination was performed with an indirect ophthalmoscope which revealed bilateral hypopyon and uveitis. Hence medical treatment was initiated and followed up for a period of one month and improvement was noticed.
