Soft palate injury occurred by their own tooth (3 cases), by other camel (4 cases) and by branch of tree (1 case). Injured soft palate had haematoma in 4 camels, abscess in 3 camels and gangrene formation in 1 camel. In three camels injured soft palate was retained inside and in 5 camels it was protruded out side. Injured soft palate excision was done from its caudal most attachment with long mayo scissors under Xylazine sedation. Post-operatively, the camels was given antibiotic and analgesic. All animals recovered uneventfully. Top Keywords Camel, excision, soft palate, sutureless. Top |
