Abstract

A male crossbred dog was brought with history of kennel cough and tumorous growth on left oral maxillary region. On basis of clinical examination, the case was tentatively diagnosed as acantomatous epulis and decided for its surgical excision. The mass was excised with blunt dissection and cauterization was done with potassium permanganate. Post-operative medication lead to recovery, Ceftriaxone, Meloxicam and Multivitamin were administered for five days. Vincristine sulphate was administered intravenously twice at weekly interval. The dog regained its normal appetite and mastication within two weeks of surgery following no recurrence.
