Abstract Adult female dog was brought with history of loss of appetite since last two weeks along with swelling in abdominal region and the animal was passing dark colour urine. Ultrasonography suspected hydrometra or pyometra. Surgery revealed that extreme dilatation of the right ovarian bursa with regional pyometra in left horn of the uterus.
