Physical Fitness differences between Govt. Aided School and Govt. Aided Madrasahs Students of West Bengal: A Comparative Study

Abstract

The present study was carried out to find out the differences of selected physical fitness variables between government aided school and Govt. aided madrasah boys of Malda district of West Bengal. A total of 200students participated in the study. The variables selected in this study were speed, explosive strength. The purposive sampling technique was used to select the participants. Unpaired t-test was employed to find the mean differences. Results revealed that both groups there were no significant difference on the variables viz. speed and explosive strength. In conclusion, government aided madrasah boys were better in explosive strength whereas Govt. aided school were better only in speed.
