A new environment monitoring system using arduino and labview-applications

Abstract

This paper describes the development of a portable and efficient environment monitoring system based on Lab VIEW GUI. It is a prototype model that monitors various environmental parameters such as temperature, relative humidity and light intensity. The respective sensor for each parameter is connected to the analog input of arduino UNO microcontroller and their values are displayed on the Lab VIEW front panel. Arduino controller acts as an intermediate between Sensor and Lab VIEW. The use of Lab VIEW run time engine makes the system cost effective and facile and the system is user friendly. This system is extremely valuable for different applications such as industries, household etc.
