Abstract

In present study we tried to compare the antibacterial activity of Morinda citrifolia (Noni) and cow urine ark. For this purpose we prepared aqueous and alcoholic extract of Noni and ark of cow urine. In in-vitro study we compared the antibacterial activity of sterile disc dipped in different dilutions of extracts of Noni and cow urine ark with ciprofloxacin disc Antibacterial effect was studied by the paper disc diffusion method. In in-vivo study we challenged the albino rats treated with different extracts of Noni and ark with pathogenic strain of E.coli and clinical symptoms, mortality were noted down. After the whole study it was revealed that aqueous extract of Noni, alcoholic extract of Noni and cow urine ark are having antibacterial activity in-vitro as well as in-vivo. After comparison order of antibacterial activity was recorded as alcoholic extract of Noni d” aqueous extract of Noni cow urine ark.
