Abstract

Lubrication serves the purpose of reducing wear and friction between surfaces. Various lubricants such as mineral oil, grease and synthetic oil are used for this purpose. The classification of lubricants depends on viscosity, and when selecting a lubricant, it is important to consider factors such as equipment specifications, environmental conditions and performance characteristics.

“Bio-lubricants provide improved environmental performance, reduced emissions and increased protection for engine components, making them an attractive alternative to mineral oils.”
