Abstract Agricultural support services have played an important role in the development of the agriculture sector. Support is needed by the farmers at various stages of crop productions. The present study was conducted with the purpose of analyzing the communication networks and support system in peri-urban vegetable cultivation two villages namely Soodna and Shyampur from Hapur block and from Faridabad block, Badarpursaid and Badshahpur were selected randomly. Thirty vegetable growing farmers were randomly selected from each of these villages. Thus, 120 respondents constituted the sample of the study. The result of the study showed the scientists of IARI, use of mobile phones and newspaper were the strongest point of contact for agricultural information. Majority of farmers expressed that Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) was the most relevant institution in providing support to the farmers. Input dealers were also playing a vital role in famers’ support system. Proper attention should be provided in developing the supporting institution for smooth functioning of the agricultural operations by the farmers Top Keywords Communication network, Mobiles, Peri-urban, Support system.
