Developing Rural Women Skills through Home Science Training Programmes for Entrepreneurship Development by KVK Barnala – An Impact Analysis Sharma Anjuly, Tanwar P.S. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Barnala, GADVASU-Ludhiana, Punjab Online published on 19 February, 2019. Abstract This study was undertaken at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Barnala district of Punjab in the year 2016–2017. A total of 150 trainees who have attended training programme were selected as respondents of the study. The findings revealed that majority of the trainees had adopted the vocational training on domestic level. About 58.33 per cent of the trainees who have received stitching training had adopted the skill for self use and 41.66 per cent had adopted as small home based enterprise at village level. As far as, post harvest training was concerned, 84.12 per cent had adopted at self sustained level at their homes for self consumption and other 15.87 per cent had adopted the value addition of fruits and vegetables on commercial level by making Self Help Group and supplementing their family income.
