Abstract The necropsy of an adult female dromedary revealed a large number of calcified rice grain to cherry sized bodies in the liver. Larger structures were calcified cysts containing a partially calcified cysticercus with an evaginated scolex. The morphology of rostellar hooks matched with both Taenia hydatigena and T. hyaenae.
