Abstract

The study indicated that village Health & Nutrition promoters could successfully impart Nutrition & Health education to village women & it had a significant effect in improving the nutritional awareness of rural women. The community was satisfied with regard to services provided by VHNPs. Hence more of such efforts are required to help people/communities to help themselves, than depending on the health workers alone.
