Online published on 22 May, 2017. Abstract This study was conducted by following ex-post facto research design and purposive random sampling technique in selected four districts of Karnataka. A sample of 200 respondents comprising 20 successful agripreneurs, 20 unsuccessful agripreneurs and 160 clients of successful agripreneurs were selected by a stratified random sampling method. The results of the study revealed that majority of both successful (65.00per cent) and unsuccessful (70.00 per cent) agripreneurs possessed graduate level of education. The innovativeness of successful and unsuccessful agripreneurs was significantly and negatively differed at 0.01 level of probability. Near to half (45.00 per cent) of successful agripreneurs had high level of risk orientation in their dairy enterprise whereas 40.00 per cent of agripreneurs possessed low-risk orientation. More than half (55.00 per cent) of the agripreneurs belonged to high income level category. Majority (66.88 per cent) of clients belonged to young age group. Majority (60.00 per cent) of clients possessed medium level of herd size followed by 33.12 per cent and 6.88 per cent had big and small herd size.
