Abstract

This study investigates the utilization of electronic information resources among 60 postgraduate students at Anand Agricultural University, Gujarat. Electronic resources, including e-books, e-journals, and databases, have become integral to modern libraries, offering advantages such as faster access and remote accessibility. The research aims to understand participant demographics and technological readiness, emphasizing linguistic diversity, information collection habits, and computer usage. Two key objectives include studying the profile of postgraduate students and evaluating their awareness and familiarity with electronic information resources. The methodology employs personal interviews and an ex-post facto research design, providing a comprehensive understanding of participants’ perspectives. Results show diverse demographics, highlighting the need for tailored educational initiatives. Awareness of resources like PowerPoint presentations is high, but lesser-known resources like ETDs and E-patents require targeted promotion. Participants exhibit proficiency in various digital resources, indicating a technologically informed academic community. The study contributes valuable insights for institutions, policymakers, and educators regarding electronic resource utilization trends and challenges.
